Single-storey home is the latest and most popular choice of many people looking for a house to build or buy.  This is because a single-storey house has many advantages that are recognized by homeowners.  They are actually easy to build, flexible when it comes to their layout, and they are comfortable and cozy, too!    In terms of ventilation and lighting, a single-story house  or bungalow is more preferred than a double-storey.  They are built with flexibility and accessibility that make them easy to remodel or renovate.  They are low maintenance, too, and are more affordable than a double-storey.    The size and shape of this bungalow complement each other.  The 4 steps elevation from the ground looks perfect.  It adds height impression to the structure.   Its main color which is light pink is daintily complemented by white, beige and maroon.  It is a perfect combination to have a darker accent to make the main color glow and stand out. Redesigned in 2017 by Rowland + Broughton | Architecture & Urban Design , this modern Scandinavian home is located in Aspen, Colorado. Description Set in Aspen’s historic West End neighborhood, Artist’s Haven is a complete modernization of a neo-classical home. Addressing the artist-client’s concept of ‘less is more,’ pseudo Victorian gingerbread detailing and railings were removed from the home’s exterior, which retained a contextual blue color. The bold, bright and voluminous interior architecture was enhanced and expanded with the intention of functioning as a backdrop for the owner’s colorful artwork. Natural daylighting was an integral part of the design. Throughout the home, sustainability was addressed through the installation of LED lighting and low-flow fixtures and fittings. Ceres House is Dan Gayfer Design ‘s largest project completed to date. Located within the rolling hills of Ceres – a rural hamlet of Geelong (Australia) – the project was virtually a new build and involved the simultaneous design of the residence, its interior and immediate exterior spaces. Description Somewhat inspired by American Ranch style architecture with its picture windows, gabled rooflines and far-reaching single storey floor plan, the buildings careful orientation encompasses 180 degrees of views whilst protecting the exterior living spaces from prevailing winds that can sweep across the property. The views are part of the design and its aesthetic; they are not borrowed but practically stolen from the surrounding landscape to become part of the interior. Located in Franken, Germany, this minimalist residence has been designed in 2018 by Weber + Hummel Architekten . Description The design parameters of the house were a long plot sloping to the north-east on a rocky building site, the development from the south and the Main river valley in the north. The design consists of two interlocking structures, which adapt to the course of the terrain via three height offsets, open to the distant view and at the same time create a private garden to the south. The atmosphere of the interiors is characterized by aesthetically motivated minimalism, precise details, high-quality materials and framed views of the landscape.
