Sena House by Archimontage Design Fields Sophisticated

This contemporary three-story house located in Bangkok, Thailand, has been recently designed by Archimontage Design Fields Sophisticated . Description Creating an environment and one’s own context is paramount to housing; bright whiteness, clay, stone flake and transparency form this three-personalities and four-atmospheres building. The 107 sq.w. rectangular plot is squeezed between two narrow roads. The north side is next to a two-story house. The east side next to a small street is deep enough to be an entrance of a parking space. The south side is a high road and the west side is next to the courtyard. These physical components surrounding the plot are crowded buildings and, as it faces to the high road, it also means confrontation between each other. From the conditions of the space, the house is placed paralleling to the length of the land, close to the north side, which is the deepest part of access and to be used as an entrance from the road, leaving the other

Townhouse in Hue by MW Archstudio

Designed in 2018 by MW Archstudio , this inspiring townhouse is situated in Hue, Vietnam. Description This townhouse has a land size of 5m x 20m, a common code in the typical Vietnamese housing subdivision planning. The house is south-facing (exposed to the scorching sun and high temperature in the afternoon, in the direction of the sun). It is a family living space of a young couple with two girls. The house is located in Hue city, a land filled with the famous and typical Vietnamese rich history and culture. The region is located in the cradle of the old feudal culture – the old capital of feudal king reigns throughout history, and at the same time, the religious center of the country. Additionally, Hue has a very special geographic location. The reason is that it is a climate transition area between two regions: the North of Vietnam with the tropical monsoon climate where the winter lasts longer and the South with the tropical monsoon climate where, typically, the tem

Home in Herzliya by Shira Lavi BD

Located in Herzliya, Israel, this house from the ’70s has been recently completely redesigned by Shira Lavi BD . Description An outdated house from the ’70s with a standard plan needed to be thoroughly renovated and redesigned to meet the needs and requirements of the family. The challenge was to create a sense of expansion within the existing space, without changing the physical size. We wanted to design a beautiful, simple and sophisticated home which would be functional and flooded with natural light to create a large, open and inviting space with an unusually large kitchen to complement our love for entertaining and cooking. All interior walls were knocked down, and one wall was added to separate the work area from the main space. The kitchen is 12 meters long and in the center is a spacious dining table that functions as the heart of the home. Next to the kitchen is an intimate, informal and inviting seating area that can be adjusted and refashioned as needed. For th

Loft on Life by Crippa e Assis Arquitetura

This elegant loft apartment located in Curitiba, Brazil, has been designed 2019 by Crippa e Assis Arquitetura . Description With the premise of few and good elements, architects value simplicity and the natural! They took advantage of the elegant layout, clean surfaces and pure volume so associated with the identity of Crippa and Assis Arquitetura. Neutral colors and especially marble and wood divide the scene, as does the selection of furniture by Brazilian designers, such as Jader Almeida, and works of art by Gabriel Wickbold. LOFT goes straight to the point and brings only elements necessary for use, but without losing its elegance and grandeur. Our modern world allows us not to hang up. We live ONLINE 24 hours a day, under the eyes of the constant need for acceptance, and to share everything in the search for popularity. How we see ourselves and how we are seen. Therefore, in this environment, we seek to portray the meaning of rebuilding. Architects Maria Alice Cripp

Pachuca by PPAA

Situated in Mexico, this lovely townhouse has been designed in 2019 by PPAA . Description In an 8 meters front and 16-meter depth lot, removed from a conventional apartment scheme, were only one apartment could have a private exterior space, we opted for two independent households similar to a townhouse. This left each house with a front of only 4 meters, which implicated a big challenge to solve the program but we managed to transform this challenge into a possibility to generate a unique space. Taking advantage of the east-west orientation of the plot, we opted for a series of stackable spaces, that will get light and ventilation from the street at the front, and from a private and contained patio on the back. This resulted in two houses with independence and privacy in all their spaces. With this solution, we achieved an absolute transparency leaving circulation as the element that connects the different levels. Structurally the project has three concrete walls and t
