Loft with Love is an amazing loft situated in Prague, Czech republic, designed in 2019 by CMC Architects . Description At the end of the 19th century, the First Municipal Brewery was a landmark site, associated with the national and local pride of beer brewing, ‘across the river’ from the City proper. It was born of Industrial Revolution Prague, along with the nearby Prague Slaughterhouse campus and the Prague Fairgrounds, which hosted World Expo events during the same period. Today, the former First Municipal Brewery, now known as Holešovický Pivovar, is an award-winning, vital and successful urban regeneration project, spanning four city blocks. The Holešovický Pivovar campus was originally refurbished in 2008 by CMCARCHITECTS, and won Project of the Year in 2009. We returned to the project, after ten years, when a CMC client bought one of the large spaces in the former fermentation building. CH House is a modern three-family house located in Hanoi, Vietnam, designed in 2019 by Oddo Architects . Description Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam with one of the highest population density, intesive traffic jams, often facing air pollutions, lack of public spaces and greenery but at the same time the city bearing importancy of Vietnamese culture and old traditions. The house is designed for three family generation who wanted to create a harmonious space in the hectic city in order to enhance traditional family ’s life. The site of the house is a typical plot for long and narrow local tube houses, in case of CH house – 4,2 m width by 35 m length. Bolton Coach house located in Dublin, Ireland, is an historic coach house and paper mill dating from the 18th century that Kingston Lafferty Design transformed into a contemporary home . Description We were commissioned to reimagine the interior architecture of the existing building, incorporating a new contemporary extension and exterior terraces and garden. The new design needed to combine and juxtapose the old and new buildings as one interesting and exciting multi-level, unique space. The existing coach house was brimming with character, charm and original detail and we wanted the extension to both embody, complement, and contrast with the older structure. We set about deliberately creating interesting spaces, nooks and crannies with the minimal and streamlined extension design.
