This original apartment located in Lyon, France, has been designed for a young scientist by Studio Razavi Architecture . Description This is an apartment designed for a young scientist, living mostly alone. The XVIth century building is part of a uniquely preserved Renaissance neighborhood in the city of Lyon, France. Two massive stone fireplaces, oversized oak beams, 14 foot ceilings were some of the original features we intended to renovate & celebrate in the new space. A single bedroom and bathroom, in addition to living room, dining room and kitchen, made up the program. Relying primarily on the use of a single material with a limited color palette, we designed a series of events so as to create what we refer to as an “introspective space”, a place to allow for reflexion, for creative seclusion. Wood floors, rough plasterwork on walls are the only other materials used, allowing for full potential of the space to be celebrated. Photography by Simone Bossi Visit Stud

Description First noticeable in the assembly is the colors and materials selection which gives a smooth rhythm to the open floor exposition of the social areas – dining and living room assembly and behind a custom-made shelving dabbling as partial wall the bedroom hides. Light pastels with black accents and alternation of wood, tiles, marble, linen, and brass are used to create the fresh ambiance of the whole house. Brass accents – from the lighting solutions and decorative objects to the customized handles and utilitarian insertions – introduce a smidge of glamor and luxury into the elegant simplicity of straight lines and fresh colors. The same goes for the elegant marble, granite, and tile insertions in different places throughout the interior composition. This futuristic single family residence located in Voula, a southern suburb of Athens, Greece, has been designed in 2019 by 314 Architecture Studio . Description Η77 house is located in Voula, a southern suburb of Athens, Greece with characteristic topography at the foot of Imittos mountain. This 300m2 total surface project has been completed and it is built. It is a private four-storey residential building. The uppermost storey which is located inside the roof contains the master suite. The middle levels include living rooms and secondary bedrooms, while at the lowest level there are secondary rooms and a parking area. The spectacular view to the sea and the mountain led us to design an extrovert residential. Its basic characteristic is its big windows parametrically at the facades that are protected by an innovative system of movable aluminium curtains that enhance the bioclimatic character of the house. Designed in 2019 by HMH Architecture + Interiors , this modern mountain house is located in Boulder, Colorado. Description Bear Peak, a picturesque summit in the Front Range Mountains, has long been a fresh-air getaway for Boulderites. Its location is close enough to downtown Boulder for commuting and removed enough to enjoy some peace and quiet after a day at work. The HMH team transformed this ”funk 1970s timber lodge” to the mountain-modern home the tech industry start-up couple always wanted. This modern mountain retreat reflects a harmonious flow between indoors and out that makes it perfectly in tune with its surrounding natural environment. The architecture and design are characterized by a rustic-modern aesthetic that meshes beautifully with the site. Every detail was well planned and articulated, celebrating the mountain lifestyle. This modern modular house located in Bridgehampton, New York, has been designed for a family of five by Resolution: 4 Architecture . Description A short walk from downtown, this modular house serves as a summer get-away from Manhattan for a young family of five and their guests. The clients’ brief called for a light-filled house that maintained a fluid indoor-outdoor connection with a variety of exterior spaces for lounging, playing, and entertaining Broken into two volumes on the main level and clad in weathered gray cedar, the house responds to the neighboring small-scale beach cottages. There is no formal front door, but upon arrival there is a fluid procession signifying entry – from the gravel autocourt, through the gates to a tree-lined entry court, and up to a covered entry deck.
