About Residence of the Boss

Introducing “Dimora del Capo”: A Fusion of Contemporary Design and Sicilian Tradition

“Dimora del Capo”, Puccio Collodoro Architetti’s latest renovation marvel, masterfully intertwines contemporary design with Sicilian tradition. Nestled in the city’s heart, this architectural gem has transformed into an elegant, efficient vacation home.

Optimized Space Utilization

Aiming for a stimulating contemporary ambiance, the project maximizes every inch of its 35 square meters (377 square feet). The team discarded internal divisions in favor of an open layout. Furnishings double as functional dividers, rendering the space both versatile and welcoming.

Harmonious Palette and Material Choices

The color palette, a refined blend of sage green and white, dances with natural oak and rattan accents. These material choices amplify natural light and enhance chromatic contrasts, drawing clear inspirations from Sicilian traditions.

In detail, the entrance leads to a muted green wall housing both the bathroom and the kitchen. Specifically, the kitchen boasts a unique white lacquer finish, complemented by natural oak and rattan sliding doors. Opposite, the bedroom showcases an oak and rattan system, doubling as wardrobes and dividers.

Challenges in the Journey

However, the journey wasn’t without its challenges. The design team grappled with converting a dim, outdated single room into a polished living space. Additionally, the aging floor structure posed problems, necessitating meticulous renovation.

A Seamless Balance of Design Elements

In essence, “Dimora del Capo” strikes a perfect balance between elegance, brightness, functionality, and evocative detailing. It stands as a testament to architectural ingenuity, optimizing space and crafting an elegant environment. Thus, guests are guaranteed an unforgettable vacation experience amidst the throbbing heart of Sicilian culture.
